Greetings from the Wine Cellar:
You may notice a theme in our selection of Featured Wines this week. We are pouring some very nice selectins from the Golden state, a.k.a California. The wines are from a variety of the premier wine growing regions of California and will definitely tempt your palate. We also have a great selection of our premium wines available through our Coravin® pours (5 oz. per glass), so come in to try that special wine you have been considering before to committing to purchase a bottle of these truly fine wines.
Exciting news on the progress for our new patio area…the required fencing is already installed with painting to be completed by next week.
We are getting very close to opening, just a few more things to get done. I couldn’t be more excited to get this new space opened up for our customers to enjoy! Especially, with the weather beginning to cool down.
FEATURED WINES THIS WEEK
Hahn 2021 Chardonnay (California) $14.99
Aromas of apple, citrus and tropical fruit with hints of vanilla and honey. Bright acidity welcomes the palate leading to a perfect flavor combination of peach, lemon and pineapple, culminating in a lingering, clean finish. Pair with bay scallop chowder, curry chicken salad, grilled shrimp skewers.

Bewitched 2021 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, California) $22.99
Bewitched is textbook Russian River Valley Pinot. Aromas of dark raspberries and cherries emerge on the nose, with a hint of rose petals. The palate offers rich black fruit flavors plus accent of spice and black tea. This is an elegant and layered wine with supple tannins.

Folie à Deux 2018 Merlot (Alexander Valley, California) $19.99
Deliciously approachable this is a soft, plush wine with smooth well-structured tannins. Vibrant flavors of rich red plum and berry with accents of cedar and dried herb it shows varietal flair, finishing in vanilla and toasted caramel.

Bonanza Lot 6 Cabernet Sauvignon (California) $18.99
Created by Chuck Wagner of Caymus Vineyards, Bonanza Lot 6 is delicious, accessible and enjoyable over a meal. It is made from the bonanza of our great state vineyard sites that hold potential to produce good Cabernet but are often overlooked. Features flavors of luscious fruit, dark chocolate and silky tannins.

Austin Hope 2020 Treana Cabernet-Syrah (Paso Robles, California) $32.99
Treana Red Blend is one of the flagships of this Austin Hope that sets the stage with power and finesse. This beautifully deep burgundy colored wine displays aromas of cassis that lead into flavors of vanilla bean, dense blackberry and warming baking spices. Layered tannins frame this full-bodied wine with balanced acidity and a lingering finish.

Ink Grade Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 $105.99/Bottle
The Ink Grade Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a nose of fresh cassis, pomegranate, and cocoa with elements of thyme, mint, candied orange peels, nutmeg, cloves, and paprika. The palate is linear throughout with a consistent midpalate of bright and lifted acidity and well-integrated raw mountain tannins that close in a persistent finish.

DAOU Reserve 2020 Seventeen Forty (Paso Robles, California) $75.99/Bottle
Inspired by the classics of Saint-Émilion, the 2020 DAOU Reserve Seventeen Forty is a Cabernet Franc driven wine with a harmonious complement of Merlot. Beguiling aromas of blackberry cobbler, raspberry, crème de cassis and cherry pipe tobacco anticipate hints of toasty oak, black licorice and pencil shaving. Lush and full bodied, this wine bestows rich flavors of cherry, black plum, dark chocolate and blueberry compote with lovely accents of Zante currant, graphite and cinnamon. Zenato 2017 Amarone Classico (Veneto, Italy) $74.99/Bottle
Dense and concentrated, yet still beautifully balanced and well-integrated, this is classic Amarone. Lush aromas of plums, dates and toasted oak greet the nose. It’s rich and full on the palate with layers of ripe, raisiny fruit and super-silky tannins to give it grip on the lengthy finish. A truly elegant, stylish wine.

Merryvale 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) $72.99/Bottle
This is classic Napa Cabernet, offering forth scents of ripe blackberry, sweet vanilla and juicy black cherry, plus hints of dusty cedar. The palate is abundant and lively, packed to the brim with juicy berry and red cherry fruit. The flavors are harmoniously balanced by a well-structured mouthfeel of velvet tannins.

NEW ARRIVALS
DAOU 2021 Bodyguard Red Blend (Paso Robles, California) $36.99
The 2021 Bodyguard is bold and brooding displaying a dark purple hue. Aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, berry jam, tobacco and maple syrup reveal trailing scents of pepper, campfire and chocolate-covered red fruit. The palate entry is big and broad, displaying rich flavors of freshly crushed berries, cured meat and spice. Concentrated dark fruit flavors extend into a sleek, lengthy finish. The wine’s boldness and rich flavors make it a great pairing with hearty meat dishes such as grilled steak or lamb chops. If you’re looking for a vegetarian option, try pairing it with roasted vegetables like eggplant or mushrooms.
Hess 2017 The Lioness Chardonnay (Napa Valley, California) $55.99
The Lioness is dynamic and beautifully balanced with a lush texture and layered flavors. Delicious notes of crème brûlée and vanilla are lifted by a core of bright acidity running throughout. A luxurious midpalate is highlighted in brioche, green apple and Meyer lemon, with a balanced take on both acidity and oak. Hints of poached pear are complemented by undertones of well-integrated toasty oak that persist throughout a long satisfying finish.
Wren House Brewing Peaches & Cream IPA (Arizona) $5.99
This cult classic, hazy IPA is still brewed with copious amounts of peaches, vanilla, and lactose just as before. This go around utilizing HBC 586 in both hot side and the dry hop, bringing complimentary stone fruit notes to this full-bodied beer. Using almost a half a ton of peaches in this batch, there is no question the dominant flavor in this beer, however not overpowering making way for a super refreshing IPA.
