Just a quick reminder that this Saturday evening, November 12th, Arizona Classical Ballet Performing Company – Yuma presents the first annual Fall
Wine Tasting Fundraiser right here in our beautiful Paseo in Historic Old
Town. The Wine Cellar will pour an array of fine wines selected to go with a variety of great hors d’oeuvres created by Carla Reneé. The event will start off at 6:00 PM and continue until 9:00 PM. Cost is just $40 per person, and tickets can be purchased at ACB’s studio office located at 1452 S. 4th Avenue – or pick them up here at the Wine Cellar! Call ACB at 782-3516 for more info. The weather is now officially perfect for evening events in our Paseo Courtyard, so be sure not to miss this one. See you down here!

Pescevino Bianco delle Marche (Le Marche, Italy) $11.99
Pescevino is a crisply dry, aromatic white crafted with one thing in mind: Fish! From the Marches region on the Adriatic Sea, this is a blend of Verdicchio, Trebbiano and Chardonnay grapes. It opens with a fragrant fresh
lemon bouquet, plus a hint of pine needles. The palate is dry, yet very savory,
with a tangy citrus and green apple character.
Buehler Vineyards 2009 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) $14.99
Fresh honeysuckle scents intermixed with an assortment of tropical fruits emerge on the nose. Abundantly ripe fruit aromas are lightly accented by
a toasty ‘sur-lie’ quality. The mouthfeel is rich, creamy and full, but the natural acidity of Russian River Valley fruit carries this lush-textured package to an elegantly clean and refreshing finish.
Penelope Sanchez 2010 Tinto Joven (Campo de Borja, Spain) $11.99
The grapes for the un-oaked Penelope Sanchez (85% Garnacha / 15% Syrah) were crushed by foot. The wine begins with an alluring bouquet of spice, cedar and black cherries. On the palate, it’s an elegant yet succulent red, with flavors of currant preserves and a dash of café latte.
Liberty School 2007 Syrah (Paso Robles) $12.99
Liberty School Syrah is a rich and full-bodied wine with an intense ruby color. On the nose, ripe berry fruit aromas mingle with fresh floral tones. The palate offers a pleasant mix of blackberry and plum fruit flavors and a light measure of smoky, peppery tones. Just enough acidity helps make this a very food-friendly red.
Castello di Querceto 2007 Chianti Classico (Tuscany, Italy) $15.99
The Querceto is a full-bodied, well-structured Chianti Classico. The wine begins with lush aromas of crushed blackberries, flowers and lightly toasted oak. In the mouth, it’s smooth and silky, with fine tannins and a clean, dry finish.
Forefront 2009 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara / San Luis Obispo / Monterey Counties) $19.99
Rich aromas of dark cherries, spiced plums and raspberries lead to an equally complex, intense palate featuring a fine core of black cherry and red raspberry fruit. Juicy acidity keeps all that rich fruit fresh and appealing. Silky tannins carry this to a lingering finish.

This 100% Nebbiolo wine is a beautiful garnet in color, with a classic bouquet of of dried roses, cherries and dusty/earthy tones. The palate reveals its youth, with clean, bright dark cherry fruit flavors well balanced by firm tannins.

Wine Guerrilla 2009 Rebel Cru Red (Sonoma County) $19.99
Wine Guerrilla’s Rebel Cru Red shows lush aromas of blackberries, ripe
fruit, spices and vanilla. The wine tastes of blackberry and black cherry with
a velvety mouthfeel. The finish is very smooth and elegant, and lingers nicely. A blend of 40% Zinfandel, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah and 10% Petite Sirah.
Sandeman Royal Ambrosante “Old Solera” Sherry (Jerez, Spain) $26.99
Royal Ambrosante is from a solera begun in 1894, and event the youngest wine in the blend is at least 20 years old. It opens with fragrant aromas of dried golden raisins. The palate is sweet and lusciously rich, offering flavors of dried figs, dates and raisins accented by complex notes of cloves, cinnamon and allspice that linger beautifully on the finish. An ideal partner with dark chocolate desserts and ice cream.
Decoy 2010 Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley) $17.99
This wine was fermented in stainless steel, to achieve a lively expression of Sauvignon Blanc that exudes fresh grapefruit, kiwi, lime, lemon zest and fresh-cut grass aromas. The palate is tangy and balanced and the flavors fully match the aromas, with additional notes of pineapple, gooseberries and minerals that swirl their way to a full and refreshing finish.
