Greetings from the Wine Cellar:

This coming Friday, December 3rd is not only First Friday here in Historic Downtown, but it also marks the beginning of the Christmas season in Yuma. The official lighting of the Christmas tree on Main Street in front of the Yuma Art Center will take place, along with the placement of a whole lot of other lights, wreaths and other decorations up and down the street. The switch will be flipped precisely at 6:00PM, ushering in the holiday season downtown. As part of the festivities, the Yuma Fire Department will rescue Santa from the top of the Art Center. He plans to hang around all evening to visit with the kids and be available for pictures. There will be musical performances on the Main Street Plaza as well, and lots of hot chocolate. It should be an evening of merriment that everyone can enjoy, so get in the spirit and join the fun downtown this Friday!
