Greetings from the Wine Cellar:

 

Just a quick note this week to remind everyone that the Wine Cellar will continue to be open for business, with our regular hours of 11AM – 7PM Tuesday to Friday and 10AM – 6PM Saturday.   And as we announced last week, the Cellar does offer “curbside pickup” for any customers who prefer that option rather than coming into the shop. Just call when you arrive (373-0405) and let me know what you’d like to buy, and I’ll be happy to bring the order out to your car. Hope to see you soon!

 

NEW WINE & BEER ARRIVALS:

 

Pahlmeyer 2016 Jayson Red (Napa Valley)   $59.99 Pahlmeyer’s Jayson Red is a blend of Bordeaux varietals sourced from premium Napa Valley vineyards. It’s crafted in each vintage to combine great flavor intensity with a superb richness. The result is a truly elegant, beautifully balanced wine that’s fully ready for enjoyment upon release.

 

 Wilkes 2018 Viognier (Paso Robles)   $19.99 This begins with aromatics of lime blossom, peach, Earl Grey tea and a touch of granite minerality. It’s nicely dry, with a silky texture and mild acidity. The palate offers a medley of ripe orchard fruit flavors, with the classic floral essence that Viogniers are renowned for.

 

Quivira 2015 Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley)   $19.99 The deep, rich color in the glass may leave the impression that this is going to be a big and weighty Zin, but you’ll quickly discover this wine is quite well-behaved. A brambly, berry-driven palate offers the classic Dry Creek red raspberry character, accented by a hint of baking spice and a light touch of toast.

 

Langetwins 2015 Old Vine Zinfandel (Lodi)   $12.99 This Old Vine Lodi Zin exudes aromas of sweet vanilla, fennel and ripe blueberries and boysenberries. It’s lush and juicy on the palate, overflowing with ripe, brambly wild berry fruit flavors that culminate in a long finish edged with pepper and spice notes.
