Greetings from the Wine Cellar:

I would like to thank everyone that came in last week to try our Featured Wines from ?????? ???? ?????????. The special event with their representative on Thursday was great success and the wines were a big hit, so much of a hit that I sold out of all but 3 bottles of their great wines. If you weren’t able to get the bottle you wanted last week, they are back in stock this week so come on by to get your favorites.

This week featured Wines are a mix of varietals from wines regions around the world. Hope to see you here.

This wine, made entirely from the Picpoul varietal native to southern France, has a golden hue with shimmering flashes. An intense, complex nose has scents of ripe fruit, citrus peel, honey and white flowers. It has a rich yet elegant feel on the palate, with a crisp freshness.

King Estate 2021 Inscription Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley, Oregon) $22.99

A deep ruby color in the glass, the wine greets the nose with fruit aromas of raspberry, black plum and currant, with violet, orange peel, cedar, leather and forest floor. Flavors of dark fruit – black cherry, plum and currant –up front on the palate are joined by bramble and cedar with some tobacco and leather. This is a bold wine with full fruit, balanced acidity and smooth tannins. A long, lingering finish boasts big fruit and spicy, toasty oak.

Cantina Zaccagnini 2019 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (Abruzzo, Italy) $18.99

St. Huberts 2020 The Stag Red Blend (Paso Robles) $19.99

The Stag has a powerful boysenberry core on the nose, plus holiday baking spice notes of brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and clove. In the mouth, it’s rich, round and soft with fine weight and body, offering flavors of ripe juicy dark berries and raspberry custard alongside spice accents and a hint of graham cracker crust.

MollyDooker 2021 Two Left Feet (South Australia) $29.99

Two Left Feet is what can happen when you dance after a glass or two of Mollydooker?. This seamless blend of Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet created an enticing wine that exceeds all expectations. The silky, satin like fruit profile, encompassed by lovely ripe tannins, cascades effortlessly through the palate providing fantastic depth.

Fazi Battaglia 2021 Rosato (Marche, Italy) $14.99

Made with Montepulicano grapes this Rosé has a bright, fresh color. Notes of acacia flowers, pomegranate and hints of cherry on the nose. In the mouth the wine is charming and caressing, but mineral and tangy at the same time.
