06/03/2014 Newsletter
Greetings from the Wine Cellar:
Just in case you haven’t heard, the renowned Yuma Jazz Company Quintet is jazzing up our summer here in Old Town with the the 2nd Lutes’ Summer Jazz Series. The 2014 Series features the regular Quintet in performance with special guest artists. There will be seven shows, presented every other Friday from 7 to 9pm, May 30 through August 22. The next show on the calendar is Friday June 13th, featuring former Yuma area music educator Lisa Dabrowski performing some of her favorites tunes in company with the YJC Quintet. There’s no cover charge for the performances, which are presented by Lutes’ Casino (221 S Main Street) and sponsored by Yuma’s Public Radio station KAWC. As I’ve told everyone so many times before, these guys are really good. Great jazz in a fun setting here in Historic Downtown Yuma with lots of good food and drink at hand – don’t miss out on it this summer!
