08/12/2020 Newsletter
Greetings from the Wine Cellar:
In case you hadn’t noticed, the Old Town Wine Cellar has been down for the last week and a half, due to being hacked. This situation unfortunately prevented me from sending out our Newsletter last week, and delayed this week’s as well. But thanks to my website guru, Ms. Yuki Rosene, we are back up and running at www.yumawine.com. So here is this week’s Newsletter, just a tad bit late.
NEW WINE & BEER ARRIVALS:
Chamisal Vineyards 2015 Estate Pinot Noir (Edna Valley) $34.99
Intense, opulent scents of red cherries and spicy plums mingle with hints of Mission fig and rose petals, showcasing the distinctive Chamisal spice. A rich, luscious palate has suggestions of cherry pie, wild strawberries and a hint of anise, backed by well-etched tannins that provide firmness and balance.
Raeburn 2018 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) $22.99
Raeburn is a classic California Chard – rich, elegant and expressive. The wine delivers a broad spectrum of complex fruit flavors that range from peach and Gravenstein apple to poached pears. All that fruit is complemented by a deft mix of toasty oak, vanilla and hints of crème brûlée, coming to a balanced, elegant and lingering finish.
Urban Provence 2018 Ultimate Rosé (Côtes de Provence, France) $17.99
Crisp and elegant, this Cotes de Provence rosé will transport you to a sun-drenched afternoon in the south of France. It’s fresh and breezy, with citrus-driven aromas and mouthwatering flavors of strawberries and watermelon. The brisk finish has a touch of salinity plus a nice hint of white pepper.
Cheers!
