Greetings from the Wine Cellar:
We have some awesome wines featured this week and we have several new beers in stock so come in and beat this heat wave we have been having. As I mentioned in the last newsletter, you now have the option to try out some our Higher End wines By-the-Glass). This week have a few very nice options to choose from so come on in and try something a bit different.
I would also like thank everyone that took the time to send me Happy Birthday wishes or came in Friday last week to help me celebrate. We had a ton with lots of food and great wines. Thank you to everyone that made this a big surprise for me.

FEATURED WINES THIS WEEK
Simi 2021 Chardonnay (Sonoma County) $17.99
This is classic California Chardonnay, with a floral and fruity nose of pineapple, peach, lemon meringue and apple complemented by hints of hazelnut and spice. It’s buttery and plush in texture, offering luscious fruit enlivened by a nice dash of toasty vanilla.
($10 per glass)
Erath 2019 Resplendent Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley) $19.99
Resplendent exudes bright aromas of ripe black cherry, currant and plum, seasoned by notes of rose petals and lavender. Varietal flavors of pomegranate, cranberry and cherry coat the palate with a pleasing weight. Tannins and acidity are well balanced, for a smooth and lengthy finish.

Cline Cellars 2021 Ancient Vines Zinfandel (Conta Costa County) $17.99
This Zinfandel underwent near total destemming and a very gentle crushing to ensure a large proportion of whole berries contributes to the explosive fruit character of the wine. Aromas of strawberry, elderberry and dried rose petals. Medium body, with flavors of raspberry, cherry, cedar, mocha and vanilla with a rich, smooth, plush finish. Wonderful to pair with prosciutto and arugula pizza or a mouthwatering meat lasagna.

Justin 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles) $27.99
Aromas of black cherry, currant and vanilla waft from the glass. A soft, delicate entry is woven into a plush palate that offers flavors of blueberry, cassis and a moderate touch of spice. Supple tannins with a touch of dark chocolate frame a satisfying finish.

DeLille Cellars 2018 D2 Red Blend (Columbia Valley) $39.99
The 2018 vintage of DeLille’s D2 is a blend of 67% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Alluring blackberry, plum, red raspberry and licorice aromas lead on to lush red and black fruit flavors, framed with polished tannins.

BY THE GLASS OPTIONS
Zenato 2017 Amarone Classico (Veneto, Italy)
Dense and concentrated, yet still beautifully balanced and well-integrated, this is classic Amarone. Lush aromas of plums, dates and toasted oak greet the nose. It’s rich and full on the palate with layers of ripe, raisiny fruit and super-silky tannins to give it grip on the lengthy finish. A truly elegant, stylish wine.

Nickel & Nickel 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Dogleg Vineyard (Napa Valley, California)
An elegant, open-knit version, with bitter plum and cherry notes lined with light bergamot and red tea hints. There’s a dash of cedar through the finish.

Seven Apart 2019 Expedition Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley, California)
This luscious wine is bright, polished and high-powered. The red-purple hue is notable, hinting at the freshness and intensity of the aromas. Red cherry, raspberry, and fresh tobacco come to mind, with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, graphite, and California bay. On the palate there is a rush of red fruits, which continues to build in intensity as the wine is savored. The texture is incredibly fine-grained and silky, while the fruit at the wine’s core expands and lengthens on the finish.

NEW ARRIVALS
Girl & Dragon 2019 Pinot Grigio (Veneto, Italy) $14.99
The 2019 Girl & Dragon Pinot Grigio is an adventurous white wine that is fresh and fruity, with lovely notes of citrus. Pair alongside sushi, curried dishes, all things fresh from the garden.
Wren House Brewing Peaches & Cream IPA (Arizona) $5.99
This cult classic, hazy IPA is still brewed with copious amounts of peaches, vanilla, and lactose just as before. This go around utilizing HBC 586 in both hot side and the dry hop, bringing complimentary stone fruit notes to this full-bodied beer. Using almost a half a ton of peaches in this batch, there is no question the dominant flavor in this beer, however not overpowering making way for a super refreshing IPA. 7.4% ABV
Drekker Braaaaaaaains Blackberry Lemon Apricot (Fargo, North Dakota) $7.99
This double fruit smoothie sour is loaded up with blackberry, lemon, and apricot, then of course we hit it with our double secret smoothie treatment of sea salt, lactose, and vanilla.
