FEATURED WINES THIS WEEK
J. Wilkes 2018 Viognier (Paso Robles) $19.99
This white begins with aromatics of lime blossom, peach, Earl Grey tea and a touch of granite minerality. It’s nicely dry, with a silky texture and mild acidity. The palate offers a medley of ripe orchard fruit flavors, with the classic floral essence that Viognier is known for.
Robert Mondavi 2019 Pinot Noir (Carneros , Napa Valley) $27.99
Aromas of ripe black and tart red cherries arise from the glass, along with notes of violets, dried leaves and a pleasant whiff of oak toast. On the palate this wine is bright and expressive, with a zip of acidity softened by lovely flavors of red and black fruits and earth. It’s a juicy, lifted and elegant Pinot Noir.
Old Soul 2020 Petite Sirah (Lodi) $12.99
A robust and ultra-juicy Petite Sirah, this was made with grapes sourced from Lodi’s signature 50 to 100 year-old vines. It’s a lush and jammy red with juicy blackberry, plum and mocha flavors, a soft mouthfeel and velvety tannins that carry it to a rich, lasting finish.
Dave Phinney Locations ES (Spain) $19.99
The Locations ES is a blend of Garnacha from the Priorat, Tempranillo from Rioja and Carignan from Ribera del Duero. Aromas of dark cherry and exotic spices mingle on the nose. The entry is rich, with a berry compote, floral and plum character supported by bright acidity. The finish is long and pleasing, with a persistent mocha tinge and silky tannins.
Whitehall Lane 2018 Merlot (Napa Valley) $29.99
This is a blend of 90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Whitehall Lane has long utilized the art of blending to produce a Merlot that offers layers of flavor complexity along with a fine structural balance; a rich wine with proper varietal character.

Alexander Valley Vineyards 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Alexander Valley) $49.99
This powerhouse Cabernet was aged 28 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, oak and a touch of dark chocolate greet the nose. Vivid flavors of blackberries, cherries and plums dominate a silky and concentrated palate, with firm, well-structured tannins.
Delas 2020 Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc Saint-Esprit (Rhone Valley, France) $15.99
The Delas Saint-Esprit is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Viognier. The nose offers juicy peach and honeyed floral scents, and the palate is marked by a pleasing richness. Flavors of star fruit, melon and white peach are full and ripe, yet the wine finishes clean and very dry.
