Tis the Season, and there is a lot happening in Downtown Yuma. This Saturday is the always popular Electric Light parade. Come early to secure your seats for watching the parade and be sure stop by the Old Town Wine Cellar while you are Downtown to sample our Featured Wines of the Week. Pasqua Pinot Grigio 2022 (Delle Venzia, Italy) $14.99/Bottle

A fruity, intense wine with a strong character. The color is straw yellow, tending to golden. On the nose it displays floral and fruity notes reminiscent of white peach with shades of Williams pear and tropical fruit. On the palate it is complex, intense and balanced, revealing notes of toasting, hazelnut and vanilla, all aromas deriving from aging in wood.

Mollydooker The Scooter Merlot 2021 (McClaren Vale, Australia) $31.99/Bottle

This vibrant and lifted Merlot exudes rich plum flavors with undertones of both red and dark fruit and a soft touch of oak. As the wine develops in the glass, layers of chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon spice come to the fore. The soft mouthfeel and tannin integration allow for all the beautiful flavors of this wine to shine through.

Finca Los Principes Gran Reserva Tempranillo 2016 (Rioja) $21.99/Bottle

Purple-plum, crumbled sage-leaf and black-olive-paste aromas emanate from the glass. This violet-red-colored wine features blackberry, black-currant, dried Mediterranean herb, milk-chocolate and violet flavors wrapped in a sheath of sumptuous tannins. Notes of butterscotch and orange-zest linger on the taste buds.

San Simeon Petite Sirah 2020 (Paso Robles, California) $25.99/Bottle

Aromas of blackberry, ripe plum and thyme greet the nose. Aging in French and American oak barrels contributes notes of vanilla and oak spice. The mouthfeel is jammy and full-bodied. Firm tannins provide structure as the flavors build to a lengthy finish.

Z. Alexander Brown Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (California) $17.99/Bottle

This wine is deep, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, allspice and dried florals on the nose. The flavors on the palate are dark cherry, black plum and cardamom, sliding into fennel, orange zest, espresso and a dry finish. 91 – Wine Enthusiast

Inspired by the classics of Saint-Émilion, DAOU Reserve Seventeen Forty is a Cabernet Franc-driven wine with a harmonious complement of Merlot. An opaque ruby-purple hue sets a tone of depth and concentration.
