It’s Christmas week… If you’re still looking for that last minute gift for someone and can’t figure out what to get, or just simply don’t have time to deal with it, think of the Old Town Wine Cellar! Stop by or give us a call (373-0405) and we can help you pick out a nice bottle of wine at a price that fits your gift-giving budget, or you can choose a Wine Cellar Gift Certificate in whatever amount you prefer. It’s just that easy!

And by the way, the Cellar will be OPEN on Monday from 11AM to 7PM, due to Christmas Day coming on Friday this year. We’ll also be open our normal hours Tuesday through Thursday, 11AM to 7PM. We will be CLOSED on Friday, Christmas Day, and also on Saturday, December 26th. And with that, I want to wish a very Merry Christmas to all of our great customers in Yuma!

Joseph Drouhin 2018 Mâcon-Lugny Les Crays (Burgundy, France) $17.99

Joseph Drouhin holds some of Burgundy’s most highly-prized vineyards, and a 130 year history of producing quality wines. Les Crays hits all the right notes, from ripe peach and pear fruit to tangy citrus, along with a pleasant touch of creaminess. The overall palate effect is a mix of delicacy and verve – hallmarks of the Drouhin style.

Ruffino Sparkling Rosé (Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy) $15.99

The Ruffino Sparkling Rosé is a fresh and fragrant bubbly, with bright aromas of strawberries and rose petals. In the glass it produces a stream of elegant bubbles, and alluring flavors of delicate red berries and orchard fruits that linger nicely.

Chateau Saint-Sulpice 2018 Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux, France) $15.99

The Saint-Sulpice Entre-Deux-Mers is a blend of 75% Merlot, 15%Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec. The nose has aromas of black currants along with floral tones. The wine is full-bodied, with juicy black cherry and plum fruit, firm tannins and pleasant earthy accents.

Ferrari Carano 2017 Siena (Sonoma County) $19.99

Siena begins with rich black cherry aromas, plus subtle hints of fennel and licorice. Ripe red fruit flavors follow the nose, shaped by a pleasant acidity and soft tannins in this Sangiovese-based red blend. Tart cherry pie flavors linger at the finish, accented by a touch of chocolate the finish.

Zinderella 2016 Old Vine Zinfandel (Lodi) $24.99

This classic Lodi Old Vine Zin opens with enticing aromas of ripe blackberries and raspberries plus exotic scents of mulling spices like clove and cinnamon. On the palate, rich and ripe dark fruit flavors are enlivened with a dash of dark chocolate.

NEW WINE & BEER ARRIVALS

Mount Veeder Winery 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) $47.99

Intense fruit aromas of ripe black cherry, black currant and plum are interlaced by notes of sweet herbs, clove, vanilla, dark chocolate and toasty oak. It’s full-bodied and full of vibrant fruit on the palate, with exotic notes of nutmeg and vanilla bean that add interest to a long, elegant finish.

Livio Felluga 2017 Friulano Friuli Colli Orientali (Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy) $22.99

Friulano is one of Italy’s most distinctive white varietals, producing a fragrant, floral and elegantwine. Generous aromas of stone fruits, melon, pear and saffron are followed by flavors of Golden apple, dried fruit and vanilla fused with balsamic notes of sage and thyme.

Chehalem 2018 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley) $25.99

This Pinot Noir showcases the diversity of soil types and microterroirs across the Chehalem Mountain AVA, creating depth and complexity in the wine. Aromatic notes of fresh black and red fruits mingle on the nose, along with hints of brambly, earthy spice. The palate is bright and fresh, with red fruits like cherry and raspberry that are complemented by soft, silky tannins.

Second Chance Brewing Less Traveled Session IPA (San Diego) $4.99

With a nice combo of peach, papaya and mandarin on the nose, this classic West Coast IPA smacks the front palate with a blast of juicy orange pith and pine. In the West Coast tradition, it has a distinctly hop-forward profile, finishing refreshingly dry and with a pleasant degree of bitterness.
