Greetings from the Wine Cellar:
The continuing Lutes’ Summer Jazz Series continues in Historic Downtown this week, with the celebrated Yuma Jazz Company Quartet performing this coming Friday evening, July 16th, at Lutes’ Casino (just a few doors down Main Street from the Wine Cellar). For this week’s performance. the YJC Quartet will be accompanied by guest trumpeter Amanda Dallabetta. The performance starts at 7PM and goes until 9PM, with free admission. Downtown is definitely the place to be this Friday, so stop by the Cellar, enjoy a nice glass of wine (or two) and then get your jazz on at Lutes’!

Fontana Candida 2019 Frascati Terre Dei Grifi (Lazio, Italy) $11.99

Chehalem 2018 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley) $25.99
This Pinot Noir showcases the diversity of soil types and microterroirs across the Chehalem Mountain AVA, creating depth and complexity in the wine. Aromatic notes of fresh black and red fruits mingle on the nose, along with hints of brambly, earthy spice. Chateau Saint-Sulpice 2018 Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux, France) $15.99

Bien Nacido Estate 2019 Well Born Cuvée Syrah (Santa Maria Valley) $29.99
This Syrah from one of the most esteemed vineyards in the U.S. offers sublime, highly aromatic notes of juicy brambleberry, black cherry liqueur, cracked peppercorns, cured meat, olive, clove and a hint of leather. The palate is framed with layers of fresh-picked forest berries, savory herbs and hints of exotic spice, all enhanced by refreshing acidity.
Trefethen 2019 Dry Riesling (Napa Valley) $19.99
